Configure the MemberXG portal

Configure how and what displays on the portal. This is where you configure pages for: Beneficiaries, Demographics, Eligibility, Deductibles, Health Claims, Member Account Balances, Member Account Payments, Pension Credits, Pension Payments, Work History, Disability Payments, and more. Different pages might display depending on your office configuration.

From this tab you can:

  • Reorder links that display in the side-navigation pane (links to pages).
  • Edit the name that shows on the page.
  • Choose if the page displays for the members or dependents (if available).
  • Access additional windows to see and configure member views, add and edit before and after paragraphs, and other options depending on the selected page.

Access the configuration menu

Home > System Administration > MemberXG > Configuration

  1. Select the portal environment to update from the Environment list.

  2. Click the Menu subtab.

  3. Each configurable page displays in the same order as it displays on the portal. To change or update configurations:
    1. Select and drag a row/page up or down in the list to change the display order on the portal.

    2. Click Save icon to confirm and apply any changes.

  4. Check or clear the Member Active or Dependent Active check boxes (where available) to make a page available to the member or dependent.

  5. Double-click a row (or right–click and select Open) to display a window with customization options. Each page has different available configurations depending on the page content. A Pension Credits window is used in our example below.

Configuration tab options

Enter text for the paragraphs that surround the information you choose from the Details tab. Use the default paragraphs or create your own. See Before and after paragraphs.

The records you choose to display and the order in which they display on the web page. This tab offers the ability to use shared, saved, and standard ServiceXG views. See Configure page details.

Select the funds that members can select from for Member Account Balances, Member Account Payments, Pension Credits, Options, Payments, and Work History web pages. See Select funds for MemberXG pages.

Set up the plans that display on the HealthClaims and the Eligibility pages. See Benefit plan types for portal pages.

Set up what information members or dependents can edit themselves, and enter the text for automated emails for demographics change requests.

Choose settings for the document redirect link and surrounding text for plan documents.

Check box for Work History to exclude inactive contributions and hide the Status column.

Set the date for on demand statements (plan year start) in Member Account Balances.

The ability to choose the deducible selections, the default plan type, and accumulators that display on the Deductibles page.

Choose what pension options to exclude and associate pension types and statues with specific funds.

Select if members can make partial payments. If so, choose if they'll pay by percentage or flat amount, and then enter a minimum amount for payment.

Manage various settings for documents, including how they display on the portal, what members can edit, what requires a signature, and more.

Determine the column order, name, and how members can filter their Eligibility grid options in the portal. You can also set the number of lookback years for the data display, enter special message text, and enter descriptions for employment statuses to display on the portal, if applicable to your fund office. These settings help the fund office customize the eligibility displays for members, and help them understand their eligibility details.

Enter the text for COBRA offer letters.

Determine additional HRA Reimbursement settings.

Additional configuration settings

  • Ignore PHI Rules—Check box option to ignore the PHI guidelines on the Eligibility portal page.

  • Show Eligibility Grid By Subgroup—Check box option to display Eligibility by subgroup automatically on the Eligibility portal page. This applies to Premium Billing eligibility.

  • Include Family Demographics—Check box option to display the member's family information on the Demographics portal page.
