View or update the WriterXG process definitions

The Processes window contains the basys business processes from which the WriterXG best practice templates pull data. In other words these are the basys business functions that produce documents. You have the Processes and Process Key Definitions you need for the WriterXG best practice templates, but if you'd like to view or change a certain Process ID value use these instructions.

With the Process ID, Description, and Process Key Definition defined, the next step is to select the key (if one is part of the definition), and link it to an associated WriterXG template in the Process to template links window. See Process to template links.

Go to:Home > System Administration > WriterXG > Processes

This window contains the:Process ID—the basys business function that produces a document.Description—the letter, statement, check, etc. that is produced by the process.Process Key Definition—the basys business process and its associated qualifier (draft, fund, year, or form). Not all process key definitions will include a qualifier.Example: The Batch Pension Statement’s Process Key Definition is: [PROCESS_ID]*[FUND]. This means the process needs a fund defined to link to the template. In the Process to Template Links and Template to Process Links windows, you select the particular fund for the Batch Pension Statement process and link it to the template.
